Miss Ziling Bai

Overview
Ziling Bai is a third-year PhD student in Translation and Intercultural Studies. She looks at the (re)translation of Virginia Woolf’s novels into Chinese, focusing on Mrs Dalloway and To the Lighthouse.

Memory, Spectrality and Retranslation – An analysis of Chinese translations of Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway and To the Lighthouse
Before pursuing her PhD, Ziling had been a language tutor and had experience in translating dubbing & subtitle scripts for documentaries as well as in collaborative literary translation. Selected works include,
