Yu Li is a full-time PhD student in NEST Group, Department of Computer Science, supervised by Dr. Christoforos Moutafis and Prof. Jim Miles.

His recent research interests lie in the theoretical & computational studies of magnetic skyrmionic textures, including skyrmion/antiskyrmion switching in chiral magnets, 3D dynamics and the energy landscapes of switching processes, roughness effect on the stability of skyrmionic textures in magnetic multilayers, Ruderman–Kittel–Kasuya–Yosida (RKKY) coupling between interlayers, ferromagnetic resonance, and skyrmion-based devices for potential applications.

Areas of expertise

  • QC Physics - magnetic materials, spintronics, nanomagnetism, magnetic skyrmion, magnetic modelling, magnetisation dynamics

Sustainable Development Goals
