Yinping Tao has obtained her PhD in Materials Science from Queen Mary University of London in 2018. Her research topic is about carbon fibre reinforced rubber composites including its design, manufacturing and fatigue properties. Later she has undertaken a short-term project on advanced resin composites for high temperature high pressure application in the oil & gas industry. In 2019 she joined The University of Manchester and SET Europe Ltd to develop lightweight plastics demonstrating improved acoustic properties funded by INNOVATE UK.
She has undertaken a research project on flame-retardant PA and PET fibres during her undergraduate study in China.
