Overview

Wiesam Essa currently works at the Department of Geography, The University of Manchester. Wiesam has research expertise in using different thermal satellite imagers e.g. Landsat, MODIS and Sentinel-3. Wiesam does research in downscaling thermal remote sensing data, focuses on the thermal patterns of cities, and develops methodologies to explore these data at different scales. Wiesam is studding the relationship between urban temperatures and various input parameters including urban, imperviousness, green space and water consumption.
