Mr Tom Fryer

Overview
I am a PhD researcher at Manchester Institute of Education. My research looks at the insights of critical realist and social justice theory for the study of graduate outcomes in the UK. Specifically, I am working to develop an alternative emancipatory approach to graduate outcomes that better captures the diversity of impacts of a university education.
I have a variety of professional experience in secondary and higher education, both internationally and in the UK, and currently serve as a Community Governor at Burnage Academy for Boys. I also run a small social enterprise supporting students from under-represented backgrounds with their UCAS applications.
