Biography
Dr Syed Zaheer Abbas did his Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering (2005 - 2009) and Masters degree in Process Engineering (2010 - 2012) from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore - Pakistan. He received his PhD from the University of Leeds, UK (2013 - 2016) in the field of Hydrogen Energy. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral research associate in the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science, University of Manchester, UK (2019 - Present). Dr Abbas has worked as an Assistant Professor in the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore for 3 years. He has presented his work in many National and International conferences/meetings/seminars. He has also published his work in well reputed international journals like Fuel (IF 6.609), International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (IF 5.816), Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering (5.909), Journal of the Energy Institute (IF 6.186) and Computers and Chemical Engineering (IF 3.845). His research interest mainly includes Hydrogen production, CO2 capture, Chemical Looping, Ca-Cu looping, Sorption enhanced and Reactor modelling and simulation.
