Spyros is a Doctoral Student in Accounting & Finance at Manchester Accounting & Finance Division, Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS). His doctoral research is funded by the AMB Ph.D Scholarship.
His main research interests lie in the broad areas of market-based accounting research (MBAR) and corporate governance. He is particularly interested in studying the effects of hedging on firm-specific risk.
Prior to joining AMBS, Spyros was a Semi-Senior Auditor at EY (promoted to Senior), with experience in Initial Public Offering (IPO) and Merger & Acquisition (M&A) projects. He completed his M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance (First - Class Honours) and his Bachelor in Business Administration (Second - Class Honours) at Athens University of Economics and Business, and he is also a holder of the Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) qualification, issued by the Corporate Finance Institute.
