Shahd is Doctoral Candidate at the Manchester International Law Centre where she is a recipent of the School of Law Scholarship, her current research pretains to economic actors in war, where she takes on a socio-linguistic approach towards corporate acountability in war. Shahd is also a researcher and a consultant in Business and Human Rights especially with relation to the Middle East.
She has previously taken up research positions in Sciences Po, Paris; HEC, Paris; Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights; Syrian Legal Development; 7iber and most recently the European Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights. Prior to her current research, Shahd obtained her Masters Degree in Economic Law Specialising in Global Governance Studies at Sciences Po, Paris where she had obtained the Emilie Boutmy Scholarship. And her BA degree in Law from the University of Jordan.
