My current research project investigates the mechanisms by which mesothelial cells lining the peritoneal cavity contribute to peritoneal fibrosis and adhesion formation. Prior to this, my in my first post-doctoral position, my research focused on the role of fungal allergens on airway physiology, inflammation and fibrotic responses. My PhD, which included an extended placement at AstraZeneca investigated the role of circadian hormones in meal anticipation, metabolism and glucose tolerance.
