Overview

Samira Garcia Freites is a PhD researcher at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at The University of Manchester. Her research focuses on evaluating the process performance, economics and potential environmental impacts of deploying biomass (agri-residues) gasification systems to generate low-carbon energy for the rural sector. Her areas of expertise include process modelling, CFD simulation of hydrodynamic systems, life cycle assessment and techno-economic assessment. She holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
