Dr Sabine Van Der Veer

Sabine obtained an MSc and PhD in Health Informatics at the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). She works as a Research Fellow on a shared post between the Farr Institute's Health e-Research Centre and the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Epidemiology. Her research focuses on how information technology can facilitate the routine collection and use of patient-generated data on symptoms and outcomes for the management of long-term conditions.

Chair of the Measurement Workstream for the Think Kidneys programme. Role: advising NHS England on introducing routine collection of patient-reported outcomes in renal services across England. Find more information here.

Member of the European Renal Association since 2010.

Leading the Kidney Disease@Farr collaboration alongside Prof Corri Black (University of Aberdeen). The collaboration aims to improve understanding and outcomes of kidney disease through Health Informatics research. More information can be found here.

Accepted as participant in the Farr Future Leadership programme (2nd cohort). First meeting planned for September 2017 in Swansea.
