Biography

Rich did his BSc and PhD at the Department of Geography, Durham University.  His research has focused on understanding flow-vegetation interactions in rivers, with research interests in ecohydraulics, remote sensing and fluvial geomorphology.  Since then he has worked on a range of flood-risk related projects at Mott MacDonald in Leeds, before joining the University of Manchester as a Lecturer in Physical Geography.
