Mr Pete Duncan

Pete Duncan is a PhD Criminology candidate at The University of Manchester. For his PhD, Pete has been awarded an ESRC scholarship to research financial crimes – including fraud, tax evasion and money laundering – in professional football. Pete completed the MRes Criminology programme at The University of Manchester in 2019, focusing on 'county lines'-style drug distribution in his dissertation.

Pete has published blog posts with the British Society of Criminology and Policy@Manchester, and has been involved in cybercrime research investigating criminal behaviour in online gambling markets.

Since September 2020, Pete has been volunteering as a social researcher with the UK drug testing organisation The Loop.
