Cerebrovascular disease is a leading cause of mortality and morbidity globally. Inflammation has been shown to significantly contribute to the development of cerebrovascular disease, and the brain injury resulting from cerebrovascular disease. My research aims to understand the molecular underpinnings of inflammation in cerebrovascular disease to reveal new drug targets for related conditions, including stroke and vascular dementia.
