I joined the University of Manchester in September 2018. Prior to this position, I was a teaching fellow at the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at LSE. I graduated with a DPhil in Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford in 2017.
My primary focus is on the functions of emotion. Specifically, my doctoral thesis investigats the social and communicative functions of intergroup schadenfreude (i.e. feeling happy about someone’s misfortune) and their implications for interpersonal trust, social identity and intergroup relations.
