Overview

I am a Senior Lecturer teaching and facilitating the development of skills and knowledge within the Bachelor of Nursing programme. I have specific interests within the biosciences and their application to nursing practice and as such contribute to the developing of this aspect within the current programme for pre-registration nursing allowing students to develop an awareness of the importance of the biosciences to their roles within the clinical environment. I am currently the Field and Unit Lead for the Applied Biosciences For Nursing Practice. Utilising my past experience within critical care and in the teaching anatomy and physiology to a wide variety of pre and post registration nursing and allied health students I also contribute to a number of units within the Bachelor of Nursing programme facilitating students in developing their skills and knowledge in preparing them for their roles within a multidisciplinary approach to patient assessment and care delivery. I also act as a specialist reviewer for RCN Publications which provides a resource for both pre and post registration practitioners within the search for evidence for practice and contemporary developments within the skills required to delivery effective nursing care.
