Overview
Néstor Singer is a third-year PhD student, whose project explores the development of translator identity in Chilean undergraduate programmes, i.e. how translation students become professional translators and identify themselves with their occupation. He is also an associate professor at the Department of Linguistics and Literature at Universidad de Santiago de Chile. His research has focused on language teaching and learning in translation education and translation psychology. He has also taught English as a B language in translation training programmes in Chile for the last 10 years.
