I completed my PhD in Politics from The University of Manchester before joining as a Lecturer in Sociology in 2017. I am particularly interested in political sociology, critical pedagogy, social movements, state-society relations under authoritarian contexts, and Gramscian readings of the Middle East. Some of my work has been published in Social Movement Studies, Critical Sociology, Power and Education and Open Democracy.
