I am a PhD candidate studying International Politics at Manchester. My research interests lie at the intersection of health, security and immigration. I look to investigate how health status is integrated into immigration policies so that migrants' bodies are conceptualized and experience as a source of (in) security. I draw on poststructularist thought and methods to carry out theoretical and empirical research.

I hold a Master's degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Bahia, in Brazil. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Law and in the Humanities from the same institution.
