Overview

I am a linguistic and cultural anthropologist specialising in the role of communication in modern workplaces. I have done field research in the South Korean corporate world since 2011. My publications have addressed the way documentation and organisations come into conflict with each other. I am currently developing a book manuscript that looks at reforms to hierarachy in contemporary Korea.

At Manchester, I am a research fellow with the Digital Trust & Security initiative. I will be looking at the impact of securitisation on office life and culture in the UK and Korea.
