Overview
Trained as an economic historian from the London School of Economics, I am interested in the business and financial history of China. Deploying an approach of institutional economic history, I study the long run development of financial institutions under the impact of government policies, international relations, and local customs. My PhD thesis has been awarded Best Dissertation of the Asia-Pacific Prize in Economic History, Economic History Society.
