Mr Mario Sandoval Olivé

Overview
An analytical and solutions-focused researcher studying the impact of controller-related setup and issues on the user experience in VR in industrial fields. Excellent understanding and experience with VR/AR technologies, motion graphics, and video game/product development. Proven ability to cultivate collaborative and communicative environments with senior management and employees to enhance organisational efficacy. Highly adept at executing tasks to the highest standard in fast-paced and dynamic environments, welcoming new challenges eagerly.
I have successfully designed, built, and implemented a new middleware solution in Python as part of my doctoral research. This middleware unifies APIs for interaction and is compatible with multiple VR applications (including game engines like Unity3D) to allow more natural and intuitive interaction with the control mechanisms that best suit users' abilities. This project also includes the design and development of an HCI ontology (using OWL/RDF/XML and SPARQL) to search for the device description and match them to the appropriate functions of the VR application for the command calls and execution.
This research is a Computer Science focused research project sponsored by CONACyT-SENER Hidrocarburos.
