Overview

Marianne obtained both degrees (BA in Economics with Econometrics and PhD) from the University of Sheffield. Marianne joined the staff at Manchester in November 1997 and has worked on a number of research projects and held a Hallsworth Fellow position at the Centre for Growth and Business Cycle Research. Marianne works for Professor Fiona Devine at the Alliance Manchester Business School. Marianne has a recent working paper at The Productivity Institute with Andy Westwood and Nicola Pike, entitled "Levelling Up, Local Growth and Productivity in England". Marianne is an Associate Member of the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, AMBS.
