Overview

I am a PhD researcher in Sociology and Politics at the University of Manchester. My PhD project seeks to explore how French activists of Indian descent mobilise with the purpose of creating new identities within the French (colour-blind) public space. My research engages with concepts including citizenship, nationalism and nation-building, diaspora, and lies in the area of race and ethnicity studies.

This PhD project is being conducted under the supervision of Prof. Claire Alexander and Dr Aoileann Ní Mhurchú.
