A promising academic in Electrical Power Systems Engineering with practical experience pursuing a PhD course in Electrical Power Systems Engineering. The main focus of my research is to improve the electric network asset management standards, particularly OHLs Conductors Modeling and Wind-induced conductor Vibrations studies. I'm interested in participating in research and development of current code of practice in regard to the new technology of power Conductors including High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS) and introducing innovative alternative solutions towards increasing the capacity of transmission overhead lines.

Mohammed A. Al Aqil was born in AlAhssa, Saudi Arabia. He received his BSc. (Hons.) Degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia, in 2012, and the M.Sc. (Hons.) Degree in Electrical Power System Engineering from The University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2015. He is an IEEE member and a former transmission engineer at the Saudi Electricity Company (2012). Currently, he holds a position as a Lecturer with the College of Engineering at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia and granted a funding to pursue his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K. (2016 – Present).
