I am an Economics PhD student at the University of Manchester.

My fields of interest are public finance, development microeconomics and applied econometrics. My dissertation focuses on analysing how taxation and other regulations affect the informality of firms and workers in developing economies with low enforcement capacity. I am under the supervision of Dr Mazhar Waseem and Professor James Banks.

Prior to starting my doctoral studies, I worked as a researcher at the Universidad de Costa Rica, joining academic projects as well as collaborations with international organisations and local authorities for policy analysis.
