Associate Research Director
Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC)
I am the head and operational lead of the MAHSC Research Office, providing strategic and operational leadership for research support across MAHSC’s seven member organisations. The MAHSC Research Office aims to provide consistency in working practices, meet ambitious targets and secure inward investment, alongside ensuring there are robust systems and processes for delivery of high quality research studies and clinical trials.
Working closely with Professor Colin Sibley, the MAHSC Research Director, I am responsible for co-ordinating an operational team of senior research managers across the MAHSC partnership. I am leading the harmonising of R&D processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness across MAHSC, develop a life sciences portal to support researchers and industry and establish a MAHSC training programme for researchers undertaking clinical trials.
