I'm interested in understanding the factors that affect the fate and transport of contaminants and metals in the environment.  My research explores microbial interactions with metals and radionuclides, such as how we can stimulate natural microbial processes in the subsurface to remediate contaminated groundwater, or how we can bioprocess metal ores to synthesise useful products.
