Mr Kyriacos Hadjidemetriou

Kyriacos is an Industrial PhD researcher at the University of Manchester and the National Nuclear Laboratory and part of the Centre for Innovative Nuclear Decommissioning (CINDe). He is based full time in the nuclear industry during his PhD research and his current work focuses on the optimisation of membrane technologies used for the separation of particulates from active waste effluents produced during nuclear decommissioning. The research involves both experimental and computational modelling studies.

Kyriacos has successfully completed BEng(Hons) and MSc studies in Chemical Engineering with experience in research and industrial process engineering teams on developing process innovation.

Kyriacos is an Associate Member of IChemE and working towards the IChemE Chartered Status.He is currently the Vice-Chair of IChemE Energy Centre's Future Energy Leaders Group and a STEM ambassador. He has been an IChemE UK representative for the PhD student committee at the European Congress for Chemical Engineers 2019 (ECCE12).
