Ms Ksenia Litvinenko

Overview

Ksenia Litvinenko is a Ph.D. Candidate and a Teaching Assistant in the Manchester Architecture Research Group at the University of Manchester. She holds an honorary MA degree in History from the Central European University in Budapest. During 2017-2018, she was a research fellow at the Research Group for Urban History at the Institute for Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. Her current research interests are the institutional mechanisms for architectural production in the transnational Soviet Bloc and mobilities of architecture and technology in the last decades of the Cold War. 

Ksenia's dissertation project, 'GIPROTEATR: Theatre Architecture and the Building of the Transnational Soviet Bloc, 1970s-1980s', concerns the mobility of culture, technology, and urbanism within and across various scales of the socialist world.
