Biography

Formerly Lecturer in law, University of Liverpool.

Kirsty is a member of the Centre for Social Ethics and Policy. She works closely with self-advocates,  families, mental health and learning disability professionals and has acted as consultant on a number of safeguarding adult reviews and inquiries.

Teaching:

Kirsty's teaching is primarly in the field of Mental Health Law at undergraduate and postgraduate level, via distance learning and campus-based learning.   She also teaches on undergraduate courses in health care law.

Research Students:

In addition she is supervising the following postgraduate research projects:

  • Psychopathy and criminal justice
  • Community Treatment Orders
