Karen is a Doctoral Researcher within the Innovation, Management and Policy Division at Alliance Manchester Business School. Karen was awarded an Economic and Social Research Council Studentship to pursue her doctoral studies.
Prior to joining academia, Karen spent over 20 years working within the legal profession, initially as a solicitor in private practice and latterly within legal regulation. Karen held a number of senior management roles at the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) including Head of Practice Standards and Director of Supervision. Prior to commencing her PhD, Karen conducted a number of research projects for the SRA and the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation.
