Dr. Junyan Hu is a Research Associate with the University of Manchester, currently being involved in the Robocoenosis project funded by EU Horizon 2020. His research interests are focused on multiple promising areas in swarm robotics and networked multi-agent systems, which include human-swarm interaction, bio-inspired swarm behaviors (e.g., flocking, rendezvous, clustering, etc.), cooperative decision-making and control (e.g., coverage, formation, containment, etc.), etc. His research outputs cover various real-world applications, e.g., swarm shepherding, connected autonomous vehicle navigation, search and rescue, object transportation, cooperative exploration in unknown environments, target tracking and monitoring, etc.
Junyan contributed to several EPSRC projects including RAIN (Robotics and AI in Nuclear) and RNE (Robotics for Nuclear Environments). He has been serving as a reviewer for many top/leading international journals and conferences.
