Junyan Hu is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Manchester, currently being involved in the EPSRC IAA project (Autonomous Swarm Control of Vacuum Cleaning Robots). His research interests are mainly focused on swarm intelligence, cooperative control, mechatronics, and robotics. His research outputs cover various applications, such as formation control of mobile robots and UAVs, distributed energy management of smart grids, coordination of autonomous vehicles in unknown environments, etc.
Junyan contributed to several EPSRC projects including RAIN (Robotics and AI in Nuclear) and RNE (Robotics for Nuclear Environments). He served as a reviewer for a number of high-impact international journals, such as IEEE Trans. on Robotics, IEEE Trans. on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Trans. on Cybernetics, IEEE Trans. on Power Systems, etc.
