 Jo Mylan is Research Fellow at the Sustainable Consumption Institute (SCI) and Institute for Innovation Research  (MIoIR), Alliance Manchester Business School.





Before joining the SCI, I completed an ESRC funded (1+3) PhD at the Centre for Research on Innovation and Competition (CRIC), under the supervision of Dr Sally Randles and Professor Alan Warde. My thesis, entitled ‘Environmental Consultancy in Contaminated Land Remediation: Profession, Markets and Ecological Modernisation’, was a study of the emergence and mobilisation of environmental knowledge in land regeneration.

I hold a First Class BSc(hons) in Environmental Science (2002), MEnt Environmental Innovation (2003) and MSc Sociological Research (2005) all awarded by The University of Manchester.
