Biography

I discovered the joy of Archaeology rather late in life, beginning my studies as an Undergraduate at The University of Manchester in 2014 at the age of 48, after spending 31 years working in Financial Services. I was awarded the David Coombs Award for Archaeology for my undergraduate studies, which was a bursary enabling me to undertake a Masters in Archaeology, also at The University of Manchester.

Every period or geographical area of archaeology holds something of interest but I finally settled on ponies and chariotry in the British Iron Age as a focus for my current PhD studies. There is so much to explore in the British Iron age, I'm particularly interested in researching materials and human/equine relationships from the viewpoint of people with very different understandings of the world.
