Biography

Jamie Kirkham is a Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Manchester, having previously held a post for 13 years at the University of Liverpool.  He joined Manchester in June 2019 and his role focuses on statistical and methodological research for clinical trials and systematic reviews. He has expertise in outcomes based research, particularly in the field of core outcome set (COS) development and outcome reporting in clinical trials.  He is also interested in study misconduct, associated biases and the potential impact these failings have on evidence-based decision-making, when important outcomes from studies are not measured or selectively reported.  

Jamie is also a Statistics Editor for the BMJ and has an interest in Journalology (publication science).
