James has recently completed his PhD thesis "Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies; improving diagnosis, management and understanding of disease" and is now working as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer at The University of Manchester. He also performs clinical work as a Neurology Registrar at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.
