I am a lecturer in cardiovascular computational biology in the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Manchester.
Our research focuses on explaining how genetic variants are able to influence cardiovascular and kidney disease risk though changes in gene expression, alternative splicing, DNA methylation and histone modifications on chromatin (multi-omics).
We are also actively pursuing new applications of single-cell transcriptomics data in cardiovascular disease, with a particular interest in hypertension.
Memberships of committees and professional bodies
I am actively involved with the communications committee of the International Society of Hypertension.
I am a member of the International Society of Hypertension, European Society of Cardiology and the International Society of Computational Biology.
