I am a final year PhD student investigating the effects of extreme temperatures on the ecophysiology of coral reef fish within the Arabian Gulf.

In particular, I am interested in how cardiorespiratory plasticity may influence the performance, and subsequent population persistence, of fishes living on the World's hottest reefs.

By linking seasonal ecological patterns with physiological performance, I am using the Arabian Gulf as a natural proxy for future climate change of global coral reefs.
