Overview

I am currently a Commonwealth scholar at the University of Manchester where I am doing a Ph.D. in Education. My doctoral research focuses on the technology training of preservice language teachers in under-resourced contexts with a focus on how educational policies and their implementation shape the development of technology using teacher identities of preservice teachers.

Prior to my Ph.D. journey, I taught English in different Universities and trained teachers both preservice and in-service in Rwanda. I have also worked on various donor-funded educational projects, including those funded by the British Council, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Belgian technical cooperation project PAFP (Programme d’Appui pour la Formation Professionelle).

I have a Masters in TESOL Educational Technology(University of Manchester), a BA in French and English with Education (University of Rwanda-College of Education), an Advanced Certificate in English Language Teaching (University of Oregon) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (University of Rwanda-College of Education)

Research interests include Educational Policy, Instructional technology, EFL/ESL, Language Teacher Education, Teacher Identity and Education for development.
