Overview

Dr Ernest Nnadi’s training, experience and research cuts across diverse areas of environmental science & technology and engineering. He has expertise in the areas of water quality, water & wastewater treatment, environmental analysis, oil pollution remediation, water reuse & efficiency, drainage and irrigation, environmental pollution, waste management, environmental health & safety, environmental monitoring, sustainability and renewable energy. He has teaching qualification (PGCE), undergone courses to improve student learning, experience & retention, & Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA) & has taught wide range of undergraduate & postgraduate modules and supervised research at Universities in the UK and overseas. Dr Nnadi has been actively involved in research, designs and conducts bespoke applied research for industrial needs and conducts testing of industrial products. He conducted pioneering study on application of SuDS in storm-water treatment, storage & reuse for irrigation purposes.
He received PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Coventry University, UK. Dr Nnadi is currently Research Associate in Geo-Environmental Engineering, Department of Mechanical, Aerospace & Civil Engineering (MACE) at The University of Manchester, UK & Hon. Research Fellow at Centre for Agroecology, Water & Resilience (CAWR), Coventry University, UK. He is also Research Collaborator & PhD supervisor: Hidrolef, & Department of Environmental Sciences, Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil and Research Partner: Construction Technology Research Group, University of Cantabria, Spain. He was Lecturer School of Energy, Construction & Environment (EEC), and Lecturer, Supervisor & Research Assistant in Department of Geography, Environment & Disaster Managment at Coventry University. Lecturer University of Brighton. He has vast industrial experience, having worked on several innovative, applied research & development projects e.g. UNDP, SEL, EPG. Dr Nnadi was Consultant to Henrich Böll Stiftung (HBS) - Flood Resilient Buildings, Environmental Design & Sustainable Drainage Systems project, Research Analyst & Research Manager at Smartsource Drainage & Water UK. He authored several high impact articles, book chapters, books & conference papers. He is Editor of journals, Guest Editor Sustainability; Publons Outstanding Reviewer & Member of EPSRC Review College, ESRC & NERC Reviewer; & M. ASCE. He expanded his expertise to Master in Renewable Energy at European Energy Institute & Galileo Master Certificates (GMCs) in Renewable Energy Management & Finance, Solar Photovoltaic, Renewable Energy Solutions & accredited with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) for Managing Safely in the Oil, Gas & Energy Industry
