  1. Classical and modern Arab historiography.
  2. Modern Islam, Islamist movements and Muslim modernities.
  3. Arab nationalism, modern Arab thought, civil society in its Middle Eastern and Arab context and democratic trends in Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
  4. Lebanon's modern and contemporary History .
  5. Modern History of Syria and Jordan
  6. Arab democracy
  7. Palestine and the Israeli-Arab conflict.
