Dr. Yanchao Li is Private Sector Specialist at the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice at the World Bank, and Honorary Research Fellow at Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIOIR), the University of Manchester, UK. Yanchao’s research and practice have focused on innovation policies in the context of both developing and developed countries. She has published peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Science and Public Policy, Review of Policy Research, and Development Policy Review, as well as books and policy reports comissioned by organizations such as United Nations and the World Bank. She also works in parallel on advisory and operational work in the energy sector at the World Bank. She received her PhD in Business Management from the University of Manchester, MSc in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, and BSc in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
