Dr Victoria Lowe
Lecturer in Drama and Screen Studies

Biography
I am a Lecturer in Drama and Screen Studies. My interest is in Film History, specialising in British Cinema, Screen Acting and the relationship between Film and the other Arts. I have a particular interest in archives and have used them in my research (eg. Robert Donat archive, Basil Dean archive in JRULM and Jocelyn Herbert archive, Univeresity of the Arts, London). At the moment I am thinking about archive methodologies to research inter-medial performance practices across theatre and film. Prior to becoming a Lecturer in Drama and Screen Studies, I worked as a producer in Drama across radio, television and film. I was also a script reader for BBC Wales and the BBC Radio Drama Department in Manchester and Film Education Manager at FACT in Liverpool. I have a PGCE in Drama and English from the University of Aberystwyth.
