Research interests

My research focus is the development and application of organic synthetic reactions. Particular interests include the metal-free radical cyclisation of unsaturated ketoesters, stereoselective electrocyclic and cycloaddition reactions, asymmetric induction using chiral auxiliaries, and axis-controlled biaryl synthesis. Targeted materials have included anticancer and antifungal agents, antimalarials, naturally occurring polyenes, terpenoids and axially-chiral amines.
