After completing an MSc in International Fashion Retailing at The University of Manchester, Rosy Boardman was awarded the Doctoral Training Award by EPSRC for her PhD, exploring the online customer experience and retailers' website designs using eye tracking technology. Prior to her masters, she completed a BA(Hons) in Combined Arts at The University of Durham. 

In her role as Lecturer of Fashion Business, Rosy teaches both UG and PGT students, as well as supervising several MSc dissertation students and UG Industrial Placement students every year. The units Rosy teaches on are across the UG Fashion Buying and Merchandising and Fashion Marketing courses, as well as the PGT International Fashion Retaling programme. 

Rosy's research focuses on digital strategy and innovation in the retail industry. In particular, her research specialises in the following topics: ecommerce, website design, digital marketing, social media, multichannel/omnichannel retailing, mcommerce, consumer behaviour and the user experience, sustainability and the circular economy, utilising eye tracking technology and qualitative research methods. She currently supervises several PhD students across these different areas, regularly attends academic conferences presenting her work and has published peer-reviewed academic journal papers.
