I joined The University of Manchester in 2003  and completed a two-year research project evaluating a new contract for community pharmacy services. Since then,  I have worked on several research projects in the pharmacy practice field, including studies on patient-centred professionalism, revalidation and workload, as well as service evaluations and commissioning. I received a University of Manchester bursary to undertake my PhD, entitled 'Professional identity in pharmacy', which was awarded in 2011. Between 2011 and 2013 I was based in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work, where I completed an NIHR (HS&DR) -funded study on mental health self-care support for children and young people.Between 2013 and 2014 I was based in the Centre for Pharmacy Workforce Studies (CPWS) at Manchester Pharmacy School, where I worked on an NIHR-funded study on clinical productivity in community pharmacy. I am currently based in the Centre for Primary Care and work for the Greater Manchester CLAHRC.
