Mr Xianyang Gao

Overview

Xianyang Gao, was born in Liaoning, China, on 25 June 1990. He received the Bachelor’s degree in Control Science and Engineering, and the Master’s degree in Automation from Shandong University, China, in 2013 and 2016 respectively. His previous works include Fieldbus Control System and Distributed Control System.

In 2016, he joined The University of Manchester, UK, as a PhD researcher under the Scanning Electromagnetic Inspection System (SEMIS) research program. His PhD study is funded by CSC-UoM joint scholarship and the SEMIS research is funded by Find a Better Way charity. Currently he works on advanced electromagnetic methods for humanitarian demining, and his main research interests are in ultra-wideband antennas and the ground penetrating radar system.
