I joined the Morgan Centre in January 2017 to work on the ESRC-funded 'Curious Connections' project (PI: Petra Nordqvist). This project will explore the impact donating egg and sperm has on the everyday lives and relationships of donors and their families and will enable me to build on my previous PhD study of identity-release donors, competed at the University of Edinburgh. This previous work explored the ways in which UK donors, donating in the context of non-anonymity, made sense of their relationships to donor-conceived offspring, recipients and the wider community, and the ways in which these were inter-connected. Prior to my PhD, I completed an MSc (by research) in Science and Technology Studies, also at the University of Edinburgh, and prior to this worked as a primary school teacher in the Edinburgh area.
