I am currently a Research Associate on the AHRC-funded project 'Faith in the Town: Lay Religion, Urbanisation, and Industrialisation in England, 1740-1830. Before joining the University of Manchester I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge; my thesis ‘Religious coexistence and sociability in England after the Act of Toleration, c. 1689-1750’, explored the continuing social and cultural challenges of religious difference in the first half of the eighteenth century.
